Last week has been a pretty dull week, mother stall and hanging out with friends, caught transformer at tuesday night with xover gang.
I didnt really like the show, its not bad, but didnt live up to my expectations i guess.
To me, transformer should be something fucking cool or fucking awesome, no crap or bullshit. There were too much crap involved that I thought like crap > awesomeness. Like wtf will I wanna look at the old mum flirting or get high on weed and fool around in the school, does it adds value to the story line? I felt like laughing when Sam got bombed and when the dead primes appear, I was like wtf, cant you get any more corny than this. The graphics aint mind-blowing either, kinda similar like transformer1.
Being an avid gamer and someone that demands a lot on visual, I was hoping transformer can give me something that goes 'wow, this is fucking beautiful'. I felt this way when I played morrowind on PC, I felt this when I played oblivion on PC, I felt this way when I played crysis on PC. I was expecting something like this but yea it didnt happen.
Overall its a 2.5/5 for me. This is personal view, I know many people love it but I just don't, you wont understand how I feel unless your in my shoes.
Most awesome movie of the year is still star trek for me, and maybe hopefully it'll be GI JOE coming august.
Sunday, met up with some of the old secondary sch guys and we head to pay respect to ivan. It feels like yesterday when I still can remember we were watching the ring 2 when he will screamed at very little scary details.
Its been 4 years since he had been gone and he is still fondly remembered by us. Its been a long time since I've seen some of them like sweemeng and ignatius etc because of gfs, work, sch and etc so its a good thing that I can catch up with them.
Treasure your family and friends, no 1 knows whats the future gonna bring.

It was a very hectic week this week, waking up at 5am on tues and wed to go for the Sun Microsystem Open Jive events work at Simei ITE. It was tiring but interesting to see the various applications submitted by the students.

Me with the main character representing Sun Microsystem, they call him the 'dude' -_-
And I received another Police Recall for shooting and I had to bring forward it to next wednesday cause the recall date clash with my WIL 2 class on 15th Jul.
Yesterday the xover guys wanted to celebrate nich's bday and so we head down to dbl o, nich got down pretty early, but air got down earlier, damn funny man. More pics are on facebook if you wanna know the happenings lol.

The 12 yrs+ of friendship for the most of us. hahahaha

Caught this movie with some of the council peeps yesterday.
My Review : This is a sweet lovey dovey fun movie that can serve as a form for entertainment for the couples and the girls. Becareful though, guys may have 2 outcome after watching the movie; 1) become a great jerk or 2) become a great man. You'll understand if you watch the show :)
Quotes from the show: 'Love is just magcial comfort food for the weak', 'In a relationship, the one who care less has the more power', 'true love is a myth', 'you have to risk love'
Who should watch it? : Couples definitely and likely single girls gang.
Who should avoid it? : Single Guys Gang (you might become gay after watching), or guys/girls with more than one girlfriend/boyfriend (you might end up being more confused)

I have been busy for the past 2 days, was working as an event assistant for this events company. I actually worked for 2 event, 1 was the sun microsystem's new system launch @ st regis and the other was the launch of fedora, a platform for linux.
The people were pretty cool to work with, fun, jovious but they know to work when its time to work.
The launch for sun microsystem's new system were actually hosted at St Regis, the legendary 6 star hotel, but it doesnt really look so 6 star to us when we entered. On the event day, the lunch does taste like a 6 star hotel buffet lunch though, the food was great, pretty awesome, and I cant stop eating their meditarian grilled vegetables.
Next week there will be another event at Simei ITE, I suppose it'll be another pretty fun event.

Work aside, results are fully released, I've not done well this sem. Just pretty normal grades, average grades i suppose, 1 DI 3 CRs.... and I've lost track of my degree with distinction... but what felt funny was that, I do not feel that whatever I wrote for my paper was any less substantial to any paper I attempted before such as OT and HMT which i got HD and DI. Was it that I became less proficient in writing quality materials or is there a flaw in the RMIT system? I just had to try my best to get 2 HD 2 DI next semester to secure a degree with dist I guess, even if I don't.... life goes on and I don't believe a degree with dist or not determine's one man's worth.

Today was the audition for Singapore Idol and so with a good sleep and a good breakfast, I make my way down and reach there around 930am. The queue was like holy smoke man, freaking long. In the end, I didnt get to audition but got another date and time to come back for the audition after queuing for like 8hours!
But it was an interesting 8 hours looking at different people, different things, different events like how the previous idol season finalist go around and disturb people, I GOT INTERVIEWED, like wah, I see them going around interviewing those 'INTERESTING' characters, I dont think I'm that interesting man. I also got to know some very interesting chaps, 2 jc kids that just randomly disappeared and isaciah (a friendly myanmar guy), nugger and ol shit, I cant rem the last guy's name, but I'll get to see isaciah, nugger and the last guy next Saturday (13 Jun at 11am).

Nearing the Registration stand!(More pics on Facebook)
After the thingy I went to meet sherwin and we headed down to marina to find Ginkiat and his friend. I havent seen him in years man, good that we can meet up. And got to know his friend, pearly. A sweet young 18 girl who is very mature and can converse very well, nice to meet her and oh she likes to drink MILO + HALF BOILED EGG (i thought that was an interesting way to eat half boiled eggs, but I don't think I'll ever try lol)

This is pearly, ok a bit unglam but haha, ginkiat was running away from the cam.

Yesterday was the day whereby an ordinary man takes on an extra-ordinary task, the attempt at an ultra-marathon 84km. Below is the story of the process of what happened and how was the run.
It was 1859, I was at the starting point at Changi Point, the MC count down and 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Off and we go. Prior to the run, I just drank a can of red bull, hoping it will give me the extra boost for the run. When I approach the 2km mark, I saw my cousin riding bicycle with her boyfriend like wth hah.
The air feels tense and heavy, I ran at the pace of 10-12km/hr for the first 40 minutes, I guess I was overestimating myself, leg numbness and stitches sets in, I wonder if its the redbull that I just took that caused the stitch, I began to slow down, walk a little as I'll need to conserve the energy for the rest of the 70+km. I tried to run everytime I gained momentum, but the stitches got me now and then.
The stiches was just the tip of the iceberg, we ran past changi stretch to east coast park and there we made a turn, the first overhead bridge, I am begining to feel the tightness on my tighs, not enough stretching? Press on, Calvin caught up to me and we headed to cheers to get ourselves some stuffs lol. I asked him if theres counterpain but holyshit, he said that sundown do not provides counterpain. Shirong will understand the pain of running without counterpain. We met this indian uncle name mohandas, hes a very energetic old man that goes around to all the aid stations and take photos with the helpers and crapping with them, i salute him for doing all that when I am already to be in pain.
Reaching 30+km mark, I am already in pain and soreness, my tighs are tight, my foot are sore, luckily there is 1 station with counterpain and i had a motivation, there was this pretty girl running along me and I tried to follow her pace lol. But eventually I think she gave up running and I had to abandon her as I need to ensure I can finish the course in time before the cut off of 15 hrs. Argg why, I was still hoping if we can run together for the rest of the distance, maybe i'll like to get to know her, hahaha.
37km mark, my soles are crying, I had to sit down and rest to massage and stretch, time spent, 5 minutes. And after which was a run/jog session till the end of the first 42km.
First round finished, 5 hours and 55 minutes, not too shabby and i sat at the pit stop for 10 minutes to rest and recharge energy by eating the bananas they provided. By this time, many had fallen, with a number of people pulling out from the attempt of the second round. But I had a goal, I had a vision, I had a dream of wearing the 84km finisher shirt.
So i pressed on, I was hoping to walked the whole of 2nd loop of 42km, walking at a pace of 5-6km/hr keeping track that I do not exceed 12mins per km.
I walked 10km (52km) my legs are crying again and i had to take a rest. After the rest I met this lady name trish, we talked a bit and kept each other company, but eventually she thought my walking pace was too fast and she told me to go ahead first.
In the 2nd round of 42km, every single step hurts like hell, my sole hurts, my tigh hurts, it was sheer endurance test. I walked and walked and at around 13-14km mark, I came across this group of 5-10 runners that ran passed me. It was mohandas and terrence, mohan being the energetic indian uncle, they kindly invited anyone along the way to finish the race together, I guess this is what you call, no man runs alone. Trish was in the group too. It was great running with them, chat a little, took some photos and they provided the mental boost for me to keep going at 6km/hr, we did short jogs like 250m and walked 500-600m. I think if I had stick with walking, I'll be dropping till 4-5km/hr by now and with their push, I managed to stick with 6km/hr until the 27km (69km) mark.
By 27km (69km) mark, I cant follow their pace anymore, I had to rest, it was another 5mins rest and the rest of the journey was alone, kinda. Theres this english man that I tried to follow. He was walking real fast. I had to jog to catch up to him, and when I start walking, I'll slowly lose him.
By the second 35km (77km) mark, I cannot summon the strength to run anymore, I walked at the speed of ~4km/hr all the way. There was only 1 thing on my mind. Finish it! Closing the finish line, I saw the familiar landmark that I first came across, I was like holy shit finishing! But the route was slightly different from the first time we came in, we need to run an additional of 300-400m or so in a loop form. For the last 100m, I summoned whatever I got and ran, cross the finish line, 84km in 14 hrs and 18minutes!
I was exhilarated, I went on to collect my medal and my finisher T, it was one of the few moments in my life where I am really so proud and happy that tears almost uncontrolably roll down my eyes. I had experienced hell and survive, the mental and physical torment was all overcomed through sheer determination and brute strength.
And like some of the aid station helpers go, go ultra-man! Will I join a 2nd time? lol..... I have no idea, I thought experience hell once was enough lol.

Just once...
Can't we find a way to finally make it right
To make the magic last for more than just one night
If we could just get to it
I know we could break through it

I have been in school last few days for some council stuffs and Ban Mian was my comfort food =)

Went to gym to try to keep my body active prior to the sundown marathon with TJ and Eric after which we caught Terminator Salvation at Cathay. The show was ok, but I don't know why, I've been getting dejavus nowadays when i watch movies, its like i've seen them before, happens to me for shinshuku incident, wolverine etc. like woah, what the heck.
After which Eric and I got to eat the buffet at Nihon Mura because i wanted a 'carbo loading session' for my run tomorrow haha, TJ couldnt make it as being a good boyfriend he had to bring his girl down to the sensei to see her injured leg. The buffet is quite good for 18.70 per pax (Student price), remember to just order the teriyaki chicken and shitake mushroom and sashimi for the ala cartes, the rest... no comments. But we were damn freaking full, we had to limp to PS to walk around to see 'stuffs' hah. I guess I had a carbo overloaded lol.

wrote a new song i dunnoe what title i should give it.

Gone is my old pair of brooks running trainers given by Singapore Police Force. Come is my new Adizero Tempo! Got it at 40% discount (store 30% + citibank 10% dc) so it cost me around $120.
Wouldnt have get it if the sole of my old brooks never came off. (I'm a pretty frugal man, want to get free stuffs from the government).

Just gone to clementi and back with this new pair of shoes climbing several overhead bridge. I must say, wth will put overhead bridges in a marathon. And i hv 6 to climb for my next sat's 84km. God bless me. Lol.
